Les Carrington joins Efret Team

After many successful years with major European carriers, Les joins Efret Team as Senior Freight Organiser based in Barcelona. Leslie's specific brief will be to reinforce and develop regular traffic between Spain and the EU; to and from the Mediterranean Coast, in particular.

Second e-marketing (SEM) trial

Piloted by Ash Mamoojee and Stephen Clark (Efret Webmaster) the second e-marketing trials are launched! Plans are afoot to hone this activity over Q1/2012 to be fully operational by midyear and thereby give customers regular and easy read service updates.

Dundee Gold Week!

Efret and affiliate Stoptrans

Following outline agreement reached in July 2011, Efret and its Portuguese affiliate Stoptrans sign long term and wide ranging contract pooling financial and physical resources to enable faster growth along their joint Atlantic corridor (GB <> FR <> ES <> PT) activity.

Donation to the Somalia Appeal

Having sought consensus from all its personnel, Efret donates £500 to Médecins Sans Frontières UK. MSF is chosen based on its proven operational excellence "on the ground" and its low overheads. The need for further donation to other charities may be revisited in due course.

Efret and affiliate Stoptrans

Efret and its Portuguese affiliate Stoptrans agree to vastly increase their joint activity along the Atlantic corridor (GB <> FR <> ES <> PT). This will soon translate in new investment in lean & clean tractors, mega trailers and temperature controlled equipment.

Maria (a Spanish national) joins Efret Team as Freight Organiser to assist in the development of our Southern European operations.

New business Michelin France

On the occasion of a high ranking meeting with Michelin HQ in France, terms are agreed to vastly increase Efret activity from most French plants to the UK, Southern and Eastern Europe.

New business from Mapa

Efret commits to provide Mapa-Spontex Spanish plants with the requisite number of Mega trailers, which previous incumbents were unable to supply. This marks the rolling out of several other developments with this prestigious customer.

IT hardware contract signed

Efret enters into a wide ranging IT hardware support & development contract with Treken Information Management to meet the ever-increasing e-commerce challenges agreed upon and implemented by our in-house software team.

Increased commerce capabilities

Efret in-house software team has delivered on time the new version of our proprietary Efret AxS management system. Of particular interest are (a) a much more detailed control of shipment status (b) the rolling out of customer and supplier facing EPRs (Electronic Performance Reports) and (c) a very talkative profit & loss report in real time at any time...

A new dynamic year!

Having addressed with the Efret Team the way forward, 2011 budget is published aiming for a 25% growth in sales this year. This will be based on healthy increased support from existing customers, a string of new prospects and a focused enhancement of our e-commerce capabilities
